The Department of Philosophy & Interdisciplinary Studies is now accepting applications for induction into Phi Sigma Tau, the International Honor Society in Philosophy.
All students who meet the following criteria are eligible to join Phi Sigma Tau (notice, majoring in Philosophy is NOT a requirement):
- at least 24 credit-hours of college courses completed
- at least two 3-hour Philosophy courses completed, with an average of 3.0 or better in those courses
- overall GPA of 3.0 or better
Students wishing to join Phi Sigma Tau should contact Dr. Michael Norton (mbnorton@ualr.edu) no later than Monday, April 11. New members must fill out a directory card and pay a one-time initiation fee (currently $25). This year’s new member induction ceremony will take place on Friday, April 15.
